Structure

Raggi di Sole (Rays of Sunshine) is an elegant B&B found in a listed building right in the heart of Bologna’s Old Town. The property is situated a stone’s throw from Piazza Maggiore and Bologna’s iconic Two Towers.

The building itself was recently restored by Glauco Gresleri, a noted Bologna architect, who conceived and designed the unique ‘rays’ theme. The decor and period furniture, were renovated by an restorative artist from the Scuola delle Belle Arti in Bologna.

The B&B is within walking distance of Bologna’s world-renowned Museums and Cultural Institutions but the artistic voyage also continues inside the building where there are treasures to be admired down to the finest detail. Every stay is sure to be an artistic adventure, with guests being treated to a detailed close-up of Italian creative expression and ingenuity.

The B&B offers two quiet bedrooms, both of which are of a large size and fitted with double-glazed windows for the utmost peace and quiet in this bustling city.

  • The FRENCH ROOM is an interesting blend of classic furniture and modern interior design. Guests have the use of a large separate bathroom, and there is also the possibility of adding an extra bed if required. It takes its name from its colour-scheme which is along the lines of “le tricoleur”.
  • The larger SUITE spreads over two floors, with a small workout area below and a large double bed on the mezzanine above. Upon request, guests may avail of a WELLNESS AREA featuring a double bath and relaxation space. The room itself has an en-suite bathroom with shower and there is also the possibility of adding a single- or double-bed. On top of that, two further ‘futon’ mattresses can be laid on the African hardwood-floor in the Wellness Area (perfect for a group of up to 6 people).

The building is accessible to disabled persons using a modern elevator, while the common area of the apartment has free INTERNET WI-FI, Air Conditioning, TV and DVD/CD player.
